Now that we are clear on what the ark was and represented,
let us take a step further in our journey on bringing
the ark of God back to Congo. Again our goal is to truly
bring back the presence of God in Congo. The only way
this can be done is through repentance.
As I watched the Testimony of Mr. Claude Sakombi, I praised
God for his salvation and also for the fact that God
allowed him to live in order to make known to us the
different abominations done to our beautiful country. My
Sakombi said the country was literally sold to the devil
through evil incantations at the source of the Congo
River (because it crossed the whole nation), through the
money we all held and used, and mainly through the media
(speeches, images of people like Mobutu coming from the
sky to portray him as god to the nation)
Such revelations or disclosures need to help us understand
where this country came from and will also allow to
attack the source of the problem. It seems to me that
the problem with our beautiful country is more spiritual
than intellectual. The reality is that we lost our
dignity, we lost our dominion and authority over the
country God gave us. At the end of time God will ask us
what we did with our country. But the truth is, God will
and can heal our land if we return to Him. If we throw
away the other gods of the land and lift Him up, then He
will return to us. We are living the moment of truth.
The only truth on earth is the world of God. How will
the Ark of the Covenant ever come to Congo? Repentance!
Repentance! Repentance!
There is danger when sacred things become common. Certain
things God will allow us to do for a while but there
comes a time when He will step in and say: “That’s
enough!” We messed with His praises and His worship.
We killed innocent people and destroyed the land God had
given to us. God strikes when we mess with what He
considers sacred. That is what we are living.
In 1 Samuel 4:1-10, the bible talks about the philistines
capturing the ark of God. Why did God allow ungodly
people to take the most sacred object of the tabernacle
without striking any one of them? I believe because His
own people turned away from God. The ark was put in the
house of Abinadad like a simple furniture (2 Samuel
6:3). So Abinanad’s children, Uzzah and Ahio grew up
with the ark in their home as something ordinary. This
is very dangerous. Congo listen well, praise, worship,
God’s laws, covenant and commandments are very sacred
and need to be revered and respected. We cannot
mishandle them. Even in the church, sacred things have
become common. We come to church late; we do not live
sanctified lives etc… It just so dawned on David that
the ark wasn’t in its rightful place. For of it was,
things would be in order. The presence of God had to be
brought back to the place it belongs.
Uzzah and Ahio played on the ark while they were growing
up. Many Congolese today grew up playing with sacred
things. It was an everyday thing to sing for a man
etc…it was common and ordinary. In this entire
situation God has been watching and today He’s saying
ENOUGH! God is tired of our games and is more interested
in developing our character. We know where we fell; we
know how to get back up so let’s act on it.
Congo let us attack the problem, which apparently seems to
be spiritual. Born again men and women of God that were
actually there during these satanic practices were
taking place are speaking out. What are we doing with
the information? It is time for us to stand as a nation,
under one God and ask God to turn His face from our
wicked ways. Let us ask Him to renew our hearts and open
our eyes to see the Congo as He sees it. Let us confess
the sins our fathers and our own sins. God is listening
to our prayers. There is a song that says: “Si vous
croyez et que je crois, et qu’ensemble nous prions.
Nous verons descendre le Saint Esprit, et le Congo sera
sauver!” If you believe with me today, let us get on
our knees and pray, and God will heal our land.
God bless Congo! God bless Congo! God bless Congo!
Stay tuned for Part 3. If you have any feedback, please
feel free to join congoboston as we take the ark back to
where it belongs.
